Welcome to Saki Computer Services
Welcome to the home site of the main development and administration team for the open source Project Management tool of choice dotProject.
If you're looking for the dotProject community - go to www.dotproject.net
Our staff have been the driving force behind dotProject since 2002, and we're more than thrilled to be able to work with one of the smallest but best volunteer development teams that we've ever had the pleasure of assembling.
But if you have a special requirement for dotProject or require professional support for your installation - please get in touch with us at our forums or by contacting us at support@saki.com.au and we'll be happy to help you.
If you are looking for a hosting package we can highly recommend our dotProject hosters - please refer to www.bigbluehat.com
We also provide an extensive range of Linux and Unix support and development services including software development and support, system setup and installation.

dotProject is very far from dead.
Support and documentation activities are currently extremely active as is bug fixing. We're working towards another bug fix release which will incorporate a few new minor features before we can get back to concentrating on the first 3.x release.
Yes we're aware that a release hasn't been done for a while. We remind everyone again that dotProject is mostly a volunteer activity and at times, time is in short supply. In the meantime - keep up with activities on the support forums and within the bug fixing listings.

Important Information
A new release of dotProject has been released today. Version 2.0.4 fixes a XSS (Cross Site Scripting) vulnerability in the handling of the login parameter, which may allow an attacker using a carefully constructed URL to gain information, such as cookie details, from
a user's session.
This release also fixes a problem with upgrading from versions prior to 2.0.1. More information can be found in the ChangeLog on the dotProject download page.
All sites are urged to upgrade ASAP

After a short planning session yesterday,we've decided on a final week of bug fixing before we turn off the CVS and get a release done asap.
For update on dates - go to http://devsite.dotproject.net
If we're waiting to hear back from anybody on any bug reports, now's your chance - if you could provide that feedback asap this week then there is a chance your issue will go into the next release.
Please use the searching facilities on http://bugs.dotproject.net before you lodge any new bugs as we'll be closing off reports as we go this week.
---
Quick update as of 22nd March - bug fixing is going really well - we're down to around 50 open reports on 2.x at the moment so we're going to stick with that for another short period and close off as many issues as possible. At this stage the 2.0.2 release will likely as not be delayed for another couple of weeks to get that finalised.
---
We're now aiming for the release to be by the 21st April 2006.

I hate posting these sorts of stories as it's basically saying there is nothing to report but people are asking.
At the moment we're still trying to finish off the 2.0.2 bug release. Bug fixes are being done on a regular basis, but not in the 10's daily.
Short-term, resourcing is currently a major problem as our technical lead has commenced a new full-time job, and it's leading up into summer here so holidays are coming up. Also other team members have university / work commitments. These things, as in everything, will pass and we'll get back into dotProject work as soon as we can.
Remember - 100% volunteer team on dotProject. It's not always possible to devote all of our time to the project and we'd ask you to be considerate of that.
